Giclée prints

  • Quality for arts

Giclée prints are high-quality reproductions of works of art. It is a contemporary digital printing technique that meets the highest demands placed on graphics by artists, museums and art collectors.
The giclée art print, just like the Fine Art Print and photo print, has conquered an equal place in the art world between the more well-known traditional graphic techniques such as etching, screen printing and stone lithography.
  • Quality for exhibition

Various museums in the world exhibit giclees instead of the original artwork if the original is too fragile to exhibit.
This shows that the giclée is a high-quality product, provided that it meets all the conditions that museums require, including the ISO 9706 and NEN2728 standard, and provided that it is produced in a high-quality manner.
  • High resolution

Real giclée prints are made with an extremely high resolution (minimum 1140dpi to 2880 dpi) and are printed with precious archival inks on acid-free materials.
The canvas and paper types are specially provided with a bottom layer (coating) that ensures that the inks do not degrade. After printing, the canvas giclée prints are provided with a UV resistant varnish or a UV top coating, so that it has a lifetime guarantee.
  • Giclée Art Certification

Our Art is printed with the quality mark 'Certified Art Giclée'. The Certified Art Giclée™ quality mark is the European standard for original limited giclée art print editions. With the Certified Art Giclée™ there is a distinction between original, high-quality and valuable museum-quality giclée's and the inkjet prints of often disappointing quality, which are offered under the name giclée.
Our art pieces of the Certified Art Giclée™ always come with a certificate of authenticity with an embossing. This certificate of authenticity contains all important data of the edition. The certificates are embossed with a hallmark, numbered and signed by the artist and master printer.
  • Limited Edition

The Certified Art Giclée™ also guarantees that no more prints are ever produced than the edition. An issued certificate includes an image of the artwork, artist name, title, website, print run, number of EAs*, and master printer.
EAs* also known as Épreuve d'Artiste are extra prints that are commissioned by the artist. These prints (maximum 10% of the edition) are part of the edition and usually belong to the private collection of the artist. The artist often uses the EAs to give away to friends or on special occasions. Often when an edition (the numbered copies) are sold out, the EAs are all that a gallery can sell. The EAs are often sold for a higher amount because these are the last copies. E.A's also signed as A.P's, which stands for 'Artist Proof'.
